Stefan Klos made goalkeeping look compact, sharp and deeply serious. At Borussia Dortmund, he was the young last line behind one of Germany’s most competitive sides of the 1990s, bringing reflexes, concentration and a quiet authority that helped carry the club to Bundesliga titles and the 1997 Champions League. He was not a giant, not a theatrical keeper and not the type to dominate matches through personality alone, but his reactions were excellent, his positioning clean and his handling reliable under pressure. Later, at Rangers, he became a cult figure through consistency, professionalism and years of high level service in Glasgow. His Germany career was blocked by brutal competition, which makes his international profile look smaller than his actual quality. Klos was a top club goalkeeper, precise, focused and much better than fame usually remembers.
