Ukraine - GoalkeeperRudakov, Yevhen
A commanding Soviet-Ukrainian goalkeeper, Yevhen Rudakov was the calm guardian behind Dynamo Kyiv’s rise as a major European force. Tall, brave and reliable, he combined strong reflexes with excellent positioning and a serious command of his penalty area. He was not a showman in the modern sense, but a keeper of presence and authority, built on concentration, timing and trust. Under Valeriy Lobanovskyi, he became a key part of Dynamo’s disciplined structure, winning domestic titles and the 1975 Cup Winners’ Cup. With the Soviet Union, he added major international weight, helping the team reach the Euro 1972 final and earning recognition as one of Europe’s best goalkeepers of his era. A sober, strong and deeply dependable number one, more fortress than fireworks.
