Viktor Kolotov

Kolotov was the engine and emotional centre of Dynamo Kyiv’s great 1970s side, a midfielder whose influence came from timing, courage and constant occupation of useful spaces. He could break lines with late runs, press with intelligence and connect midfield to attack without turning the game into a personal exhibition, which, frankly, already puts him above half the modern YouTube-compilation population. As captain, he embodied the collective rhythm that made Dynamo so difficult to control.
