Kova?evi? offered the rare centre-forward blend of aerial power, penalty-box aggression and clean technical coordination, especially during his best years with Real Sociedad and Juventus. He could pin centre-backs, attack crosses with authority and finish quickly inside crowded areas, but also combine neatly enough to function in more associative attacking structures.
