Italy - GoalkeeperGinulfi, Alberto
A reliable and modern Italian goalkeeper for his era, Alberto Ginulfi was one of Roma’s familiar guardians through the 1960s and early 1970s. Agile, consistent and mentally steady, he built his reputation on reflexes, positioning and a calm command of the box rather than theatrical gestures. With Roma, he spent thirteen years at the club, won two Coppa Italia titles and became part of the side’s historical memory, especially for supporters who value loyalty as much as silverware. His most famous moment remains the penalty he saved from Pelé in a Roma-Santos friendly in 1972, the sort of anecdote that follows a goalkeeper around forever, quite understandably.
