A sharp and technically gifted Soviet right winger, Igor Chislenko gave Dynamo Moscow and the USSR a rare mix of dribbling, speed and scoring threat from wide areas. He was not just a touchline supplier, but a forward who could cut inside, attack space and finish with real authority, which made him far more dangerous than the classic winger label suggests. With Dynamo, he won Soviet titles and became one of the league’s outstanding wide attackers, while for the USSR he scored 20 goals in 53 caps and played at both the 1962 and 1966 World Cups. Quick, elusive and intelligent in the final third, he brought unpredictability to a team often associated with structure and discipline. Not a global household name, but absolutely a serious Soviet attacking talent.
