A dynamic and technically sharp French right-back, Jocelyn Angloma brought pace, balance and attacking confidence to the flank without losing defensive seriousness. Originally capable of playing higher up the pitch, he carried a winger’s ease on the ball into a defender’s role, overlapping with timing, combining cleanly and giving width with real authority. At Marseille, Torino, Inter and Valencia, he showed adaptability across demanding leagues, while his Valencia years confirmed his value as a mature, reliable and tactically intelligent full-back. He was not as iconic as Thuram, nor as purely defensive as classic old-school markers, but his mix of athleticism, technique and experience made him a very modern profile. Strong in transition, composed under pressure and useful in both phases.
